A few days before our 14th aniversary he told me that he loved me and our son but needed to accomplish some things on his own. I told him I loved him, that our marriage and family were important. He went back and forth between wanting to leave or stay. The day he left, he moved out of state and has not returned, not even to see our son. My husband has informed me that he has been unhappy for years. I guess until I started listning to Dr. Ellen, I always blamed him for our problems and never thought they were as bad as it seemed. Well, not too long ago, he came to me and said he wanted a divorce. I bought the program because he doesn't want to go back to counseling. I now realize how much I have hurt him in our relationship by not nurturing it and focusing on the negative instead of the positive. It wasn't all him after all.
